Ferromin drops

Ferromin drops are oral iron drops suitable for infants and children.

Breast milk and then adequate nutrition meet the needs of infants from birth. However, receiving some micronutrients as supplements is beneficial and sometimes necessary for the proper development of infants. According to the instructions of the Iranian Ministry of Health, receiving iron drops in infants 6 months and older is essential for proper growth and development and prevention of anemia.

Feromin Kinder drops contain microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate, which helps with hematopoiesis, preventing anemia, and proper physical and mental development in infants and children. Microencapsulated iron increases absorption and reduces side effects of iron supplementation.

Microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate:
Micronized iron encapsulation is a new approach to improving iron absorption and digestive tolerance. In this technology, iron pyrophosphate is surrounded by a lipid bilayer membrane, which allows the iron to pass through the acidic environment of the stomach and be absorbed in the intestine without being destroyed or inactivated. In this way, it is protected against destruction by digestive enzymes, intestinal flora and free radicals. The lipid bilayer increases the stability of the molecule and causes its contents to be released slowly, the gradual release helps to better absorb iron. This iron also has higher solubility and therefore better accessibility, which also increases its absorption. With micronization, the particle size is reduced and the solubility, bioavailability and absorption of iron are increased. The higher the absorption of iron, the lower the oxidative damage and its complications.

One of the annoying side effects of taking iron drops is the darkening of children’s teeth. Since Feromin Kinder drops contain microencapsulated iron, they do not cause darkening of teeth. Also, the lipid bilayer of iron pyrophosphate reduces its digestive side effects by preventing direct contact of iron with the intestinal lining. These drops do not have the metallic taste of iron and are better tolerated.
