A+D drops

Kinder A+D drops contain 1500 units of vitamin A and 600 units of vitamin D for infants and children under two years of age.

Infants and children need vitamins and minerals for their growth and development, which they obtain from breast milk and from food after 6 months. However, the need for some vitamins and minerals in the first years of life can only be met through supplements. Vitamins A and D are among these compounds. According to the instructions of the Iranian Ministry of Health, all infants should receive 1500 units of vitamin A and at least 400 units of vitamin D through supplements from birth. Kinder A+D drops contain an appropriate dose of these vitamins for infants and children under two years of age.

Vitamin A:
It is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in growth and development, strengthening the immune system, and bone development, and is also part of the structure of visual pigments. Vitamin A deficiency is a common nutritional problem in infants and children. The likelihood of developing infectious diseases and diarrhea increases in children with vitamin A deficiency, because in vitamin A deficiency, the normal tissue of mucous membranes is destroyed and the skin, mucous membranes of the eyes, and the respiratory, digestive, and urinary tracts are damaged. This condition, along with impaired immune system function, makes the child susceptible to viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections.

Vitamin D:
It is an essential fat-soluble vitamin that plays a significant role in strengthening the immune system. Adequate vitamin D intake helps prevent and treat diseases, including infectious diseases, and its deficiency increases the likelihood of diseases in infants and children. In addition, vitamin D increases calcium absorption and reduces its excretion. For this reason, it is needed for bone growth, and insufficient amounts of it cause rickets (soft bones) in children. All infants should receive their vitamin D requirements from birth through supplementation.
